From Reality to Relaxation: A Review of Sani Resort's Ultimate Family Getaway

It's always refreshing to take a break from routine and spend some quality time with your loved ones.

Sani Resort in Halkidiki - Greece is a great place for families to unwind and create lasting memories together. One of the most significant advantages of the resort is its size. With a vast area, there is always plenty to do for all age groups, ensuring everyone is kept entertained throughout their stay. The staff prioritises children's needs, which can be a huge relief for parents. The rooms are spacious, and the staff are accommodating. This type of attention to detail and customer service can make all the difference in creating a memorable holiday experience.

From the moment you arrive, they treat you like royalty your bags are dealt with and you are seated with hot towels and a glass of prosecco. They check you in and they hand you your room keys and off you go. Even if you arrive late knowing that the restaurants are closed they leave a cold buffet in your room, so you have something to eat and you don't go to bed hungry.

The quality of food is often a crucial factor in choosing a destination, and it's excellent to hear that Sani Resort's cuisine is outstanding. The impeccable service is also a plus, making every meal a delightful experience. While the resort has many positives, it's always good to be aware of any potential downsides. The high prices of some items and activities can be a bit of a surprise, so it's best to be prepared to pay a little extra. Additionally, booking activities well in advance is essential, or you may miss out on some of the fun things the resort has to offer. It's also important to note that not all activities are included in the package.

It's worth budgeting extra money for some family favourites, so you can enjoy everything the resort offers without any limitations. It's also good to know that there are no other nearby attractions besides a small village and market. Therefore, planning ahead and keeping busy, to avoid feeling like you're stuck in a Groundhog Day scenario is essential.

Evening entertainment was wonderful. Each night after dinner we grabbed a hotel buggy which took us to the theater area and we watched a musical show or danced away to some old-school tunes. Wednesdays are the best they have a white night and kids and adult party like they're in Ibiza which is fun and then you could have a little stroll along the beach to experience the the sea at night and gaze at the stars!

Sani is famous for some of the free activities that they run and here are some of the activities I would recommend and have tried and tested:

  • Aqua Fit

  • Body massage

  • Yoga in the forest

  • Bungee trampoline

  • Bike ride

  • Bee Trail

  • Forest walk

If you book in advance I would recommend:

  • Archery

  • Some of the water sports activities

Overall, Sani Resort is an incredible place to visit for a luxurious family getaway. We visited in October just before the season closed and we thought it was perfect and the weather was just right. However, the outdoor pools were cold but thankfully the spa pool was open in October for everyone to use.

We had a booked private luxury transfer and to make our return trip back to the airport even more special the staff gifted us a bottle of prosecco and 2 glasses so we could leave in style. The resort's size, wonderful staff, impressive range of activities, and excellent cuisine makes this an ideal destination for families looking for a memorable vacation.
